Phthalic Anhydride

CAS 85-44-9
HS 29173500
Chemical Formula C6H4(CO)2O
Appearance White Crystal Powder

Phthalic anhydride (PA) is a white crystalline compound used to manufacture plasticizers, pigments, dyes and resins. One major consumer of PA is the phthalate plasticiser industry. PA is used in the manufacture of unsaturated polyester resins (UPR) that are usually blended with glass fibres to produce fiberglass-reinforced plastics.

Application and Usage

PA-based alkyd resins are used in paints and lacquers that go in to architectural, machinery, furniture, and fixture application. PA is used in the manufacture of unsaturated polyester resins (UPR) that are usually blended with glass fibres to produce fiberglass-reinforced plastic

Sodium Sulphide Flakes

CAS 1313-82-2
HS 28301000
Chemical Formula Na2S
Appearance Yellow Flakes
#

Sodium sulphide is the chemical compound with the formula Na2S and it has an antifluorite structure. It’s a yellow appearance, water-soluble salts that give strongly alkaline solutions. When exposed to moist air, Na2S emit hydrogen sulphide, which smells like rotten eggs. The solution of Sodium Sulphide obtained from the process is concentrated to 10-12% and is available at different percentages in tanker loads. In Industries Na2S is produced by carbothermic reduction of sodium sulphate often using coal.

Application and Usage

It is used in the production of rubber chemicals, sulfur dyes and other chemical compounds. It is used in other applications including ore flotation, oil recovery, making dyes, and detergent.

#

Phthalimide

CAS 85-41-6

Phthalimide is the organic compound with the formula C₆H₄(CO)₂NH. It is the imide derivative of phthalic anhydride. It is a sublimable white solid that is slightly soluble in water but more so upon addition of base. It is used as a precursor to other organic compounds as a masked source of ammonia.

Hydrochloric acid

CAS 7647-01-0
HS 28061000
Chemical Formula HCl
Appearance colorless, Transparent Liquid
#

Hydrochloric acid or muriatic acid is a colourless transparent inorganic chemical system with the formula HCl. Hydrochloric acid has a distinctive pungent smell. It is classified as strongly acidic and can attack the skin over a wide composition range, since the hydrogen chloride completely dissociates in aqueous solution. Hydrochloric acid is the simplest chlorine-based acid system containing water. It is a solution of hydrogen chloride and water.

Application and Usage

Hydrochloric acid is a strong inorganic acid that is used in pickling steel, production of organic compounds, production of inorganic compounds and pH control and neutralization

#

Sodium Nitrite

CAS 85-41-6

Sodium nitrite is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NaNO₂. It is a white to slightly yellowish crystalline powder that is very soluble in water and is hygroscopic.

Caustic Soda Lye

CAS 1310-73-2
HS 28151200
Chemical Formula NaOH
#

Caustic soda is also known as lye or sodium hydroxide with chemical formula NaOH. It is highly soluble in water, and readily absorbs moisture and carbon dioxide from the air. it is frequently utilized alongside neutral water and acidic hydrochloric acid to demonstrate the pH scale.

Application and Usage

Sodium hydroxide is used in the manufacture of sodium salts and detergents, pH regulation, and organic synthesis. And also in the manufacture of pulp and paper, textile, soaps and detergents and as a drain cleaner.
